The Director of Engineering functions as the strategic leader of all maintenance decision pre & post-opening and will hire and train a team of driven maintenance technicians.
This position works in partnership with the Vice President of Resort Operations and TPI's Vice President of Capital Projects.
Essential Job Expectations:
Maintain the hotel as if it was your own Provide a safe, healthy environment for all guests and associates Assure that your daily actions and decision making reflects TPIs nine core values Develop and implement property maintenance strategies (sets direction and proposes maintenance-related policy and procedures company-wide).
Ensure that property maintenance processes and technical knowledge and skills are in place to maintain the physical assets.
Establish base line performance criteria for major systems or building components with standardized life cycle performance.
Ensure that all appropriate life/safety certifications are in compliance and tracked (i.
e.
Elevator, Pool, Fire and Boiler certification).
Ensure emergency and contingency plans are in place (i.
e.
Hurricane, Loss of Power/Water, Fire etc.
) Track and monitor Brand Inspections for completion of repairs in accordance with company policies and budgets.
