Full Charge Bookkeeper

The Resort Controller tracks and reports the money flowing in and out of the resort.
Key
Responsibilities:
Preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders, sales tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies for both Outrigger Beach Resort and Charley's Boathouse Grill
Reconciling bank statements
Accounts Payable/Receivable
IT knowledge
Analytical and communication skills
Establish, modify, document, and coordinate implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures
Oversee hotel night auditors.
Meet regularly with department heads to keep informed and to offer direction
Review reports to analyze projections of sales and profit against actual figures, budgeted expenses against final totals, and suggests methods of improving the planning process as appropriate
Confer with the General Manager and Department Heads to coordinate and prioritize planning
Experience/Skills Required:
Five to seven years prior supervisory experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area. Experience working in a hospitality arena is preferred.
Must be PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast -pace setting. Experience with DataPro Accounting software is a plus. Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Paychex and Word.
Ten key by touch required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required.
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
Night and weekend hours
Any other duties assigned
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
